ONE AMAZING WEEK IN KOS♡
I love Greece… Orange sunsets, salty wind and so much free time to enjoy all of that. BTW you can see more behind the scenes and read about this dream escape in my post about my trip to Kos
EDITORIAL IN KOS
On one hand, I wanted to give myself an opportunity to a total relax, but on the other one, I was longing for a creative project where I could release my ideas free.
Usually a Wedding Styled Shoot requires a LOT of contacting, planning, agreements, contracts, expectations. That’s why I wanted to do it differently this time. The idea was to photograph at my own rhythm, without feeling the attachment to day, time or location.
I decided to style this photo session by myself, literally from scratch. This way if something went wrong, no one’s contribution would depend on my ability to pull this photoset off.
Like if I don’t find a model that fits the styling or if I get sick. Which I actually did haha… I got sick on the 5th day of my trip and enjoyed the rest of it with my BFF’s – Paracetamol and Apple Mojito.
I did have a very abstract Mood Board on Pinterest, so I wasn’t attached to any specific idea of color palette.
So I just packed my gear, took some of the beautiful tulle dresses that I have for my clients, and some items for styling.
I actually shot the editorial in two days. That’s how I was able to style and photograph everything.
I found a small flower store and chose some gorgeous fuchsia local flowers to match my ringbox. And I added some seasonal greenery and got a wild grown bouquet. It also fitted perfectly with my color scheme and dreamy environment.
I love making flower bouquets, and I also offer them to my clients for portrait shoots. I’ve always loved flowers and having the opportunity to design my own bouquets just how I would like to see them – is absolutely priceless. You can see more of my Art Bouquets here.
The details came all together and blended seamlessly into the overall mood and color theme.
